Purchased New Samsung refrigerator from nebraska furniture mart and purchased the extended warranty. After factory warranty expired the icemaker stopped working.

I called nebraska furniture and they transferred me to the company that handles their extended warranties, was told they would send a repair service to fix it. The repair service replaced the entire icemaker, a few months later it broke again. Repair service again came out & was told that there was an update for the icemaker auger system, they replaced the auger system. Unit worked for another few months, service again came out and said there was an update to the update, they did the work and again icemaker stopped working.

Repair service said that there is now another update and the entire icemaker needs to be replaced again.

Called warranty company to ask for new refrigerator under their three repairs and unit will be replaced guarantee was told that since icemaker was not completely replaced each time the three repair rule does not apply. Think they are scam artists.

Hello Sir/ Ma'am! We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with your refrigerator.

The extended warranty, Assurant, states; If the same component fails more than three times after the manufacturer's warranty expires, and the product requires a fourth repair, it will be replaced.

Assurant would have to provide NFM with a Return Authorization number for this to happen. Thank you for your understanding.
