They will match anything but Customer Service!

We have been happy customers for years. Had a steady run of purchases, everything from electronics to appliances, etc. We have had an open credit line with NFM for years and have been a steady, loyal customer. In Dec. 2017 we paid off the small amount we had on our store credit line to make the balance $0. We returned this week in February to make a large purchase of photography equipment and accessories for my wife's work. However, my credit limit was back to $0. When I asked why I was told that since they received my payment after the due date in Dec. that it would be zero for 6 mos. and then they would possibly re-open it! I thought I was dealing with REAL people that wanted to help, but apparently all I get for being a long-time customer is disappointment and ZERO help spending even MORE money with NFM. It actually ruined the entire experience for me. I'm proud to support small businesses and drop another $10k for equipment from ANYONE but NFM! At least they care to work with you.

I apologize for the issues with the credit on your account. I did speak with our credit department and they stated there could be a couple reasons as to why the account was showing zero available credit.

We were unable to locate the account to see what the exact reason was or how to get it reopen however our credit department would be more than happy to look into it for you as we do not have access to the same information they do.

Nebraska furniture mart extended warrenty worthless

Our kitchen aid dishwasher is just over a year old. Call for warrenty service on January 9th. It took until February 12 to finally get it fixed. It took several calls to warrenty company assurant and nebraska furniture mart to get it fixed. Verrrrry slow service from repair company. In past had a warrenty from sears. Could get things fixed in a week. Will never buy extended warrenty from nfm or assurant again.

Don't Believe Their Responses To Complaints

Nebraska Furniture Mart's social media team is quick to provide a generic response asking you to reach out to them for help. IGNORE THEM! I spent over $7,000 with their company and it was the absolute worst purchasing experience I have ever encountered. I spent over an hour on the phone with customer service. Because they are centrally located for the entire company, it is almost impossible to reach someone at the local store where you made the purchase. The delivery company they contract to deliver tried making multiple deliveries to my home but never brought the promised number of people to actually allow them to deliver. I spent days going back and forth with less than helpful customer service people. The worst part - you try to make a complaint in person and the store manager refuses to talk to you. The local customer service team has been trained to block all access to anyone in leadership but she was willing to "email" them on your behalf. No one is held accountable here. It's so big it's easy for the leadership team to avoid all connects to customers and allow their store to run off customers. It's clear to see this miserable shopping experience is not catching on - on the multiple visits it took to clear up this mess their massive parking garage was always empty. Just like when you avoid a restaurant with an empty parking lot - Nebraska Furniture Mart Dallas is serving some really horrible food with awful service. Save yourself the heartburn and look elsewhere!

Drivers called in to NFM because they could not take merchandise up the stairs as they needed a four-man team and the extra labor was not created. We confirmed with Robert that he wanted it done 01.22.18, however, per our 3rd party delivery team they did not have the man power to get it done on 01.22.18.

Robert asked about compensation for the inconveniences and NFM stated we would contact him once everything had been completed.

We informed Robert that we could set up the delivery 01.23.18 on our express route, however, we received photos from the driver; The issue was with the slant in the ceiling downwards right at the turn. The customer insisted they had requested a four-man team at point of sale and did not really want them to attempt. NFM sent the 2nd team out with both labor stops and stated he would not attempt without the signature on the damage waiver. Because we were unable to complete the delivery 01.23.18 Robert wanted everything returned.

We apologize for the multiple problems that were encountered during this transaction and understand Robert's and David's frustration.

If they are to re-instate the Appliance order we would be happy to discount a total of $307.04. We would also like the opportunity to get this delivery right and to make sure we are training our 3 party delivery teams correctly, however, we would need a signature to attempt to move the appliances into the home. If the customer feels the Appliance is too big, we recommend measuring the area before purchase.

Store leadership must be retrained in order to create an environment of customer friendly processes. Even if that happened I would never give this company another $1 of my money.

Very disappointing

Go there only if you want to come across the WORST customer service, they try to rip you off with their false warranties. They tell their sales personnel to sell you the sugarcoated warranty but at the time of claims, they don’t take any responsibility for it. They sold us warranties on all of their products claiming a wonderful customer service, but when the time came and one the products that we needed warranty coverage on, they denied it totally. The product has lifetime warranty, but the customer service said they can’t do anything about it. On top of that, when I told the manager “Robert” that I’m very disappointed in the service and would not be making anymore purchases from here (very calmly, I was even smiling) he said go ahead, I can’t stop you. Well of course Robert and Nebraska furniture mart, you can’t stop me with that attitude, but I will stop people to throw their money into your store which is only interested in taking the money out of customers pockets on the name of false Warranties.

I apologize for the late fee that was charged to the account and the unpleasant experience working with the rep over the phone. If there are multiple payments made in the same billing cycle they will not apply to the next months balance.

We can look into submitting a request to our accounting department to see about waiving the fee that was charged.

Unprofessional delivery services

Ordered thousands of $ worth of furniture and when it came to delivery service, they were the worst. Order was not checked prior to arrival and when they arrived, they didn't complete assembling the furniture due to lack of required hardware. I have a whole bed furniture that were left all around my bedroom. They provided no timeframe for when they would be back. The delivery was at 11am and it is now 8pm. After calling customer service and being notified that an "emergency delivery" team would be arriving at an unknown timeframe. Im completely baffaled by NFM and their delievery third party teams.

Defective refrigerators

If a certain brand of refrigerator comes into the warehouse with cosmetic issues from the manufacturer, why does NFM continue purchasing this brand & delivering to customers? Then make it to look like the customer is being picky because there are dents in them & want one that doesn’t look that way. I got a call today from the delivery driver that they were on the way, but the replacement one had a dent in it & asked if I still wanted it. What do you think?! This was personally inspected by me in the warehouse a week ago & looked great! What happened?

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Bought furniture and within1 year they broke down. Purchased Guardsman for the furniture. takes months and months to get them out and will take over 6 months to even come and make an effort to repair a $10 item!! NEVER experienced passing the buck more than with NFM or Guardsman. NFM took our money for the protection and now will do nothing to assist. It is absolute stealing...your "system" is BROKE beyond repair. Seriously it took 3 months AFTER the claim before someone came out and another month or more (still not sure) to even order the part which could take 8 weeks to arrive and THEN we get to call service to schedule someone to install it!! REALLY..that's the best you can do?? If so, try another business PLEASE!!

Hello Sir/Ma'am, We apologize it is taking so long to repair your furniture. NFM has a 30 day return/exchange period.

After 30 days the Vendor would take over and service for any manufacture defects. After 1 year, if you purchased the extended warranty Guardsman would take over. All incidents must be reported in 5 business days. From there they would contact a local servicer and schedule the next available appointment.

Defective icemaker in Samsung Refrigerator

Purchased New Samsung refrigerator from nebraska furniture mart and purchased the extended warranty. After factory warranty expired the icemaker stopped working. I called nebraska furniture and they transferred me to the company that handles their extended warranties, was told they would send a repair service to fix it. The repair service replaced the entire icemaker, a few months later it broke again. Repair service again came out & was told that there was an update for the icemaker auger system, they replaced the auger system. Unit worked for another few months, service again came out and said there was an update to the update, they did the work and again icemaker stopped working. Repair service said that there is now another update and the entire icemaker needs to be replaced again. Called warranty company to ask for new refrigerator under their three repairs and unit will be replaced guarantee was told that since icemaker was not completely replaced each time the three repair rule does not apply. Think they are scam artists.

The extended warranty, Assurant, states; If the same component fails more than three times after the manufacturer's warranty expires, and the product requires a fourth repair, it will be replaced.

Assurant would have to provide NFM with a Return Authorization number for this to happen. Thank you for your understanding.

Hello Sir/Ma'am. We are sorry to hear your refrigerator is not working.

If you have the extended warranty Assurant is able to find a servicer in your area. If they are unable to find a servicer in your area they will provide you with a Return Authorization number. Assurant does cover Food Loss and can provide you with a small refrigerator if your current one is being repaired. NFM does provide a 30 day return/exchange from date of purchase.

After 30 days the customer is covered under the manufacturer warranty.

Once the manufacture warranty is up, the extended warranty continues. In order to assist further, NFM would need to be provided a Return Authorization number.
